01Agreement and who we are
By creating an account, purchasing a membership, or using Dealer F&I University in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
Dealer F&I University ("DFIU," "we," "us") is an online F&I training platform owned and operated by Shaka Dyson and Dealer F&I University LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. "You" means the person or dealership that registers for, pays for, or uses the platform. "The Platform" means dealerfiuniversity.com, app.dealerfiuniversity.com, and every course, video, module, test, certificate, live class, coaching session, AI role-play, and other material we provide.
If you accept these Terms on behalf of a dealership, you confirm you have authority to bind that dealership.
02Digital product and ownership
Dealer F&I University is a digital product. Nothing physical is shipped. Your membership gives you online access to the Platform for the length of your membership, and nothing more.
The Platform and everything in it is copyrighted intellectual property owned exclusively by Shaka Dyson and Dealer F&I University. This includes all courses, videos, scripts, closes, word tracks, presentations, menus, tests, quizzes, certificates, AI role-play scenarios, software, designs, logos, and the names "Dealer F&I University" and "DFIU." All rights are reserved.
Buying a membership does not transfer ownership of any content or software to you. Certificates you earn confirm you completed our training; they do not give you any rights in our content.
03Your license and what you may not do
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for your own F&I training during your active membership. The license ends when your membership ends.
Without the express written consent of Shaka Dyson and Dealer F&I University, you may not:
- Copy, download, record, screenshot, or reproduce any course, video, document, or software
- Modify, edit, translate, or create derivative works from any content or software
- Share, sell, rent, publish, or distribute any content, including inside your own dealership's training
- Share your login or let anyone else use your account
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Platform's software, design, or AI features
- Use any content to create a competing training product or service
Violating this section ends your access immediately, without refund, and we may pursue every remedy the law allows.
04Memberships, billing and cancellation
Every membership is a minimum of 12 months of access. You choose one of two plans at checkout:
| Plan | What you pay | How long it lasts | Cancelling |
|---|---|---|---|
| One-time | $997, paid once | 12 months of access from the purchase date, then access ends. It does not renew automatically. | No cancellation needed. To continue after 12 months, buy a new membership. |
| Monthly | $198 one-time setup fee, plus $99 per month. Your first charge is $297. | A minimum 12-month commitment, then continues month to month. | You may not cancel during the first 12 months. You may cancel any time after your 12th monthly payment. |
- Monthly payments. By choosing the Monthly plan, you authorize us to charge your card $99 every month until you cancel after the first 12 months. The $198 setup fee is charged once and is not refundable.
- How to cancel. After your first 12 months, email contact@dealerfiuniversity.com from the address on your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month already paid for, and you keep access until then.
- Early cancellation. You remain responsible for all 12 monthly payments in the first year. We may, at our sole discretion, approve an early cancellation in writing.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may pause your access until it is paid. Unpaid amounts remain owed.
- Price changes. We will not change your price during your membership period. Prices may change for future memberships or renewals.
- Taxes. Prices do not include any sales tax that may apply.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
05Refunds
Because the Platform is a digital product that is available to you immediately after purchase, all payments are final and non-refundable, including the $997 one-time membership, the $198 setup fee, and monthly payments. This applies whether or not you use the Platform. Where a law requires a refund, we will follow that law.
06Accounts and acceptable use
You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information when you register. Each membership is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done under your account.
In live classes, coaching sessions, and AI role-play, you agree to act professionally and not to record sessions, harass others, or share other members' information. AI role-play has a usage limit per member, and AI responses are for practice only.
We may suspend or end any account that breaks these Terms, shares access, or misuses the Platform.
07Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Platform is educational training. We do not guarantee any specific income, gross, PVR, product penetration, job, or promotion from using it. Your results depend on you, your dealership, and your customers. You are responsible for following all laws, lender rules, and dealership policies when you use anything you learn.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may update, add, or remove content at any time.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
08Arbitration and governing law
Please read this section carefully. It requires disputes to go to arbitration before any court.
- Talk to us first. Before filing anything, email contact@dealerfiuniversity.com describing the dispute. We both agree to try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
- Arbitration first. If it is not resolved, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from these Terms, your membership, or the Platform will be settled by binding arbitration before one arbitrator, before any court action, except as stated below.
- Where and under what law. Arbitration takes place in Gwinnett County, Georgia, under the Georgia Arbitration Code (O.C.G.A. § 9-9-1 and following) and, where it applies, the Federal Arbitration Act.
- Individual claims only. You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as part of any class or group action.
- Court. Any court action allowed by these Terms, including enforcing an arbitration award, will be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and you consent to those courts.
- Exceptions. Either side may go to court directly to stop copying or misuse of intellectual property (Section 3) or to collect unpaid membership fees.
These Terms, the Platform, and the conduct of Dealer F&I University are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
09Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version, and we will email members about material changes. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept it.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with your checkout confirmation, are the entire agreement between you and Dealer F&I University. You may not transfer your membership; we may transfer these Terms if the business is sold or reorganized. Sections 2, 3, 5, 7 and 8 continue after your membership ends.
